Acclaimed Armenian film maker Sergei Paradjanov

LOS ANGELES-The Los Angeles County Museum of Art will screen six films by acclaimed Armenian filmmaker Sergei Paradjanov from February 22 to 29 at the museum.
"The films of Armenian painter and poet Sergei Paradjanov are joyous, colorful and musical expressions of visionary experience that revel in parable, myth, and allegory. Inspired by the folk traditions of Ukraine and the Caucasus, their delirious invention and ecstatic beauty belie a personal life marked by persecution and imprisonment under the Soviet regim," characterized LACMA.

February 22 9:20 p.m. Andriesh
February 23 7:30 p.m. Ashik Kerib
February 23 9:00 p.m. The First Lad
February 29 7:30 p.m. The Color of Pomegranates
February 29 9:20 p.m. The Legend of Suram Fortress
