Horizon’s Paul Chaderjian speaks with ANCA Executive Director Aram Hamparian on the recently announced March 4th Armenian Genocide resolution vote in the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Hamparian urged community calls to Congressional offices and spotlighted the latest threats by Turkey’s Foreign Minister Davutoglu on Congressional consideration of the human rights issue.
Hamparian went on to comment on postponement of Secretary Clinton’s meeting with Armenian American groups. The delay, due to a massive snowstorm that crippled the nation’s capital, also gives State Department officials an opportunity to reconsider the list of invitees, which were unbalanced and biased toward groups supporting the Turkey-Armenia protocols, an initiative widely rejected by a majority of Armenian-Americans.
